Oh look its the helliterorist getting paid big money to shoot pigs on PUBLIC HUNTING land with buckshot. Doesn’t sound right to me. For a lot of hunters this is the only place we can go to hunt pigs with bow only cause of safety reasons they say but the helliterrorist can fly around with a shotgun and shoot them, that’s real safe.
Most of us public hunters that pay for a public hunting permit call it stealing since we’re the ones that pay for a public hunting permit to be able to hunt at lake Granger. Even if the helliterrorist is required to purchase some kind of permit , that doesn’t help the general ground hunter after he flys around and devastates the hog population and just lets the pigs lay. Why buy a public hunting permit any more? You people sure aren’t helping the public that has no where else to go when you allow the helliterrorist to do this on public hunting lands.
A lot of my friends used to have a good time hunting there but after the helliterrorist devastated the pigs we just don’t go anymore. Allowing this to happen on public hunting grounds is the same thing as poaching !! cause your taking from those that buy permits.

Feral hogs are not native to Texas. They cause millions if not billions of dollars in agricultural damage each year. That damage comes out of everyone’s pockets. This impacts row crops and livestock production, so pigs cost everyone. I don’t see why those that manage private land or public land should protect a non-native animal. In fact, I bet anyone that owns land adjacent public lands where hog control takes place are very pleased. It would not be neighborly to harbor hogs for recreational hunting while your neighbors pay the price.
Wild hogs compete with native wildlife for food and space, which is likely the same animals you want to hunt. In addition, no one has been able to eradicate hogs with any type of hunting. Helicopters are just another tool to manage feral hog populations, like private and public land hunters.
So they hunt with a helicopter on public land and I can only use a bow? This is outrageous
Arthur, you can get can hunt from a helicopter, too. Just not on public land. Up to you whether you still want to use the bow.
